Would you know how to save a life in an emergency situation, or use public access defibrillators? Luckily Stuart Askew did, the school where he worked had recently acquired an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and that, combined with First Aid training ensured he was able to save the life of a 15 year old boy at the school.
What makes this story even more dramatic is that the teenager, Ethan Askew, is Stuart’s son. Fortunately quick actions by the First Aiders on scene and early defibrillation saved Ethan’s life that day and further medical investigation and treatment has ensured he can continue as normal.
