Duke of Edinburgh’s Award First Aid Training

First aid recovery position

If you’re completing your Duke of Edinburgh’s award first aid becomes even more important as you’ll often be in remote locations. I’ve spent the last 4 Monday evenings taking Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards students of all levels through an introduction to first aid at the Wandsworth Community Centre.

This bespoke course was designed to cover basic recognition & treatment of injuries and conditions that could be found during the outward bound activities of the groups, such as hiking or canoeing.

As well as basic scene assessment and when to call the emergency services, we also covered casualty assessment, recovery position, choking, soft tissue injuries, burns & scalds, cold water immersion, hypothermia & heat stroke; so the evenings were packed with information!

As well as the HSE recommended syllabus for First Aid in the workplace, we can easily tailor a training course to suit your needs and cover information relevant to your activities; get in touch to discuss your needs. Whether it’s Duke of Edinburgh’s award first aid, workplace first aid,

We are happy to offer training packages on evenings and weekends.
