Emergency Sports First Aid Course

The Emergency Sports First Aid Course is ideal if you are an employee or volunteer at a sports club. As well as emergency action plans, a wide range of scenarios are covered including casualty assessment, basic life support and the assessment and treatment of sprains, strains, fractures and dislocations as well as up to date protocols on dealing with head injuries and concussion assessment. If your sports club has an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), then the use of it, combined with CPR, can also be included in the course content.

  • Managing an Emergency
  • Communication and casualty care
  • Primary Survey
  • Unresponsive casualty
  • Resuscitation (adult and child CPR)
  • Shock
  • Bleeding
  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries
  • Chest pains
  • Extremes of heat and cold
  • Managing a casualty outdoors
